EXECUTE TEXT MESSAGES COMMANDS

7.2.1 Alarm acknowledgement

How an X-am 5x00 reacts with an alarm acknowledgement depends on its configuration. Alarms may
be acknowledgeable or unknowledgeable and self-sustaining or non-self-sustaining. For this reason,
you should read the user manual of your Dräger X-am 5x00 gas monitor carefully in its entirety.
The text message reply contains the X-zone Com's device name and also a message confirming the
alarm's acknowldgement.

7.2.2 Enabling an evacuation alarm

Users can trigger with a text message alarms signaled by an X-zone 5x00 network as A2 Alarm. This
is called an evacuation alarm because it is used to evacuate areas.
NOTE
To use 'Execute' text message commands, you need the "Ex-
ecute-PIN" in the Manager Software.
NOTE
Acknowledging an alarm does not necessarily mean the alarm
will not reoccur. The system's reactions are subject to the spe-
cific alarm circumstances and the X-am 5x00's configuration.
