This chapter provides a general overview of ORI Mcloud's functions and use. For more in-depth infor-
mation, you will want to consult the Mcloud manual.
Mcloud is an internet data portal that allows you, with the use of your web browser, to view and obtain
information from your X-zone Com devices. Along with the general device status, battery capacity
level and time of the last data transmission, it allows you to monitor all the detection, metering and
alarm activities and readings. Operators can determine when the monitoring is active and its duration
to suit their specific requirements. Data appears in graphic displays and exports in a CSV file format
allowing you to download it to your computer, where the files open and process with Microsoft Excel.
In addition, you have the convenience of plotting all your X-zone Com devices on a map.
To access Mcloud, you require internet access, a web browser, and, after a 4-week trial period, a li-
cense for each device. The 4-week trial begins as soon as you register the device. When it expires,
you may purchase licenses that are valid for a specified time. With a valid X-zone Com license, you
can save as many readings as you require. A warning symbol will appear in the device lists notifying
you sufficiently in advance of license expiration.
Your X-zone Com data will be stored in Germany on a server that has been tested by TÜV and found
to be compliant with "Trusted Site TSI V3.0 Level 1" standards. Access via browser requires a pass-
word and uses secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS).

MCLOUD DEVICE LIST

The device list contains all your registered devices. If one of your devices does not appear in the list,
you'll need to register it with Mcloud (see Fig. 8.2). Registration is only possible if the device had
transmitted data at least once. To send readings to Mcloud, you have to first activate the Cloud func-
tions with the assistance of the Manager Software (see Ch. 5.4.4).
