1.5 OPERATING LOGIC
If Set point 2 is not enabled, the Unit will produce water at the "first set point", i.e. at a temperature suited to radiant operation. If, on the other hand,
Set point 2 is enabled, the Unit will produce water at the "second set point", i.e. at a temperature suited to fancoil operation. In this case, if you also
wish to supply a radiant system, it will be necessary to install the Mixing valve, as described above. By doing so, the Unit will continue to produce
water at the "second set point" (reference temperature: water coming out of the PdC, par. 109), but the Mixing valve will adjust to bring the water to
the "first set point" (reference temperature: water being delivered to the radiant system, par. 111).
Temperature limits applied to the "first set point" suited for radiant systems.
Maximum water temperature in the radiant system, during heating = par. 224 "tMA"
1.
2.
Minimum water temperature in the radiant system, during cooling.
a Calculated value = par. 229 "tLiM"
The dew temperature is determined by the ambient temperature and humidity detected by the KCTR (par 226). This value is then corrected
based on parameter 227, to take into account the type structure of the radiant system, through formula: par.229 = par.226 + par.227.
To use this, as the minimum level, however, it is necessary to configure parameter 225=Off.
b Set value = par 228 "tMin"
If the KCTR is not available, or if parameter 225=On, this is used as the minimum level.
Managing the alarms that protect the radiant system.
Alarm "Surr"
1.
The overheating alarm comes on if all of the following conditions subsist for more than three minutes:
•
Heating function
•
No domestic hot water heating
•
If par. 110 = 1: The temperature of the water delivered to the radiant system (par. 111) exceeds the Set point by 2°C
•
If par. 110 ≠ 1 and the second set point has not been enabled: The temperature of the water feeding out of the PdC (par. 109) exceeds the Set
point by 2°C.
When this alarm is triggered, the following applies:
•
If par. 110 = 1: Pump 2 stops
•
If par. 110 ≠ 1: Pump 1 stops
The alarm resets automatically as soon as one of the activation conditions fails.
2.
"Cond" alarm
The condensation formation alarm is triggered if:
a
both of the following conditions subsist:
•
Cooling function
•
The IN-COM terminals of the Dew Point Sensor short circuit
b
if all of the following conditions subsist for more than 3 minutes:
•
Cooling function
•
Se par. 110 = 1: The temperature of the water delivered to the radiant system (par. 111) is lower than the minimum water temperature (par.
228 / 229).
•
If par. 110 ≠ 1 and the second set point has not been enabled: The temperature of the water feeding out of the PdC (par. 109) is lower than
the minimum water temperature (par. 228 / 229).
When this alarm is triggered, the following applies:
•
If par. 110 = 1: Pump 2 stops
•
If par. 110 ≠ 1: Pump 1 stops
The alarm resets automatically as soon as one of the activation conditions fails.
