7.4 LIMIT OF FREQUENCY "NIGHT MODE"

The control system of the DC-INVERTER heat pump normally modulates
the ability of the compressor, based on the heat capacity request. If there
is a need to reduce the maximum value of: ability, electric and/or noise
absorption of the compressor, e.g. in night-time operation, it is possible to
activate the "Night Mode" function using the relative external contact
(connectors 9-10 of TERMINAL BLOCK), with CLOSED CIRCUIT the
maximum frequency will be decreased to the value of Parameter 102.
Limitation active in calling for hot water.

7.5 SET POINT 2 ACTIVATION

The heat pump normally regulates the water outlet temperature based on
the operation mode and relative climatic curve for radiant terminals (Set
point 1), in this way the environmental comfort is obtained by using water
at the temperature directly produced inside the same, optimising effective-
ness of the unit and relative electric energy consumptions.
When having to power air terminal units, it is possible to activate a se- cond
level (SET POINT-2 ) of the water delivery temperature, this acti- vation
happens through closing of the contact (clamps 13-14 TERMINAL BLOCK)
"Set –Point 2". A closed contact the unit will work according to the "Set Point
2 climatic curves"
If the system has only terminal radiant always open contact 13-14 (point
1). If the system has only terminal fan coil contact 13-14 closed at all times
(Setpoint 2). If the system has radiant terminals and terminal fan coil ther-
mostat of zoa fan coil closes the contact 13-14 (Setpoint 2).

7.6 LOGIC OF THE CLIMATIC CURVES

Logic of the climatic curves
The logic regulating the temperature of the requested water to the Heat
Pump, in normal winter heating or summer cooling operation, is based on
the climatic curves.
The basic logic is that to modulate the temperature of the requested water,
depending on the temperature of the external environment.
Winter climatic curve
The Winter climatic curve is built by setting the following parameters:
- 210: Minimum external winter temperature (default - 5°C)
- 211: Maximum external winter temperature (default 20°C)
- 212: Minimum winter outlet water temperature (default 22°C)
- 213: Maximum winter outlet water temperature (default 45°C)

tic curve.

The temperature of the requested water is calculated according to the
temperature of the external environment (Par 108).
Therefore, according to this logic, if the external temperature is very low,
high temperature water is requested, whereas if the external temperature
is mild, water at lower temperature is sufficient.
Summer climatic curve
The Summer climatic curve is built by setting the following parameters:
- 217: Minimum external summer temperature (default 23°C)
- 218: Maximum external summer temperature (default 32°C)
- 219: Minimum summer outlet water temperature (default 15°C)
- 220: Maximum summer outlet water temperature (default 22°C)

The temperature of the requested water is calculated according to
the temperature of the external environment (parameter 108). The-
refore, according to this logic, if the external temperature is very high,
low temperature water is requested, whereas if the external tempera-
ture is cooler, water at a higher temperature is sufficient.
Set point 2 climatic curves (to power the fan coils)
If the second set point is activated, via the closing of the "Set-point 2"
contact (terminals 13 - 14 TERMINAL BLOCK, the temperature of the
requested water from the heat pump is calculated through a further
two climatic curves, a winter one and a summer one. These climatic
curves are built on the same external temperatures, mini- mum and
maximum, set for the previous curves (parameters 210, 211, 217,
218).
Whereas, the water temperatures are settable on the following pa-
rameters:
For the winter climatic curve:
- 215: Minimum outlet water temperature (default 45°C)
- 216: Maximum outlet water temperature (default 45°C)
For the summer climatic curve:
- 222: Minimum outlet water temperature (default 7 °C)
- 223: Maximum outlet water temperature (default 7°C)
NOTE: The parameters 214 and 221 can also introduce a dynamic com-
pensation on the climate curves. For this type of operation it is necessary
to contact the authorized service center.
