SATAjet 4800 K spray mix Operating Instructions
US
Notice!
Damage due to contaminated compressed air
Use of contaminated compressed air can lead to malfunctions.
→ Use clean compressed air. For example with SATA filter 444 (Art. No.
92296).
■ Check all screws for tightness.
■ Tighten pre-nozzle.
■ Connect atomization air hose to compressed air connection [1-8].
■ Connect material hose to material connection [1-10].
■ Flush material passage with suitable cleaning fluid (see Chap. 11).
9.2. Normal Operation
Before using observe/check the following points to ensure safe operation
of the paint spray gun:
■ The required compressed air flow rate, material flow rate, material pres-
sure and spray pressure are ensured.
■ Is the compressed air clean?
Adjusting the material supply
■ Set the required material supply pressure at the high-pressure pump.
Adjusting the atomizing pressure
The paint material is dispersed using airless paint-spray technology. The
material is conveyed to the nozzle under high pressure and is atomized
upon exiting the nozzle, and the spray pattern is determined by the geom-
etry of the material nozzle.
Information!
If the material pressure required for shaping the spray fan is not at-
tained, the material transfer pressure must be increased.
■ Set material pressure to required input pressure.
Adjustment of the Spray Fan Pattern
The spray width and angle are defined by the geometry of the material
nozzle. Applying compressed air via the air nozzle makes it possible to
adjust the shape of the spray.
■ A round fan pattern can be set by turning the round and flat fan control
(B) [5-1].
■ The airflow rate can be regulated using the air micrometer [5-2].
