Adjusting the Tape

You may need to adjust the space between the tape channel and the stationary cutting
blade to ensure that there is enough room for the tape to pass through the dispenser.
The normal setting for the space is 1/32" (.794 mm). However, the space may need to be
adjusted if you are using tape which is heavier or lighter than 60 lb tape.
To adjust the tape channel see Figure G and follow the steps below.
1. Remove the brush tank.
Caution! The water in the tank and the exposed brush tank post may be hot.
2. Pull the lever slightly forward to lower to the moving cutting blade and expose the
space between the tape channel and the stationary blade.
3. Loosen the two screws below the cutting blade and insert the appropriate size shim
between the tape channel and the stationary blade. Keep the tape channel level and
move it up or down as needed.
4. Once the space is set, tighten the screws.
5. Reattach the brush tank.
