Filling the Chamber
WARNING! Over-filling the chamber may wet the pressure sensor filter, which
may interfere with accurate pressure measurement. The Fill Chamber mark
indicates correct fluid level.
6.4
SOLO Mode (Irrigation and Handpiece Control)
CAUTION! Pump tubing must be configured according to instructions in Section 5.6.
CAUTION! When using wall suction as the flow source for the shaver, a flow limiter is
required to prevent excessive flow rates, which could produce low (potentially vacuum
level) joint pressures.
To activate SOLO Mode:
1 . Press RUN/STOP to place the pump in STOP mode .
2 . Press the SOLO pad to activate SOLO Mode .
3 . Press the SOLO pad again to deactivate SOLO Mode .

Pressure Warnings and Alarms
The pressure warnings and alarms indicate high and low pressures that are outside of optimal
pressure ranges . The high pressure warning LED illuminates when joint pressure exceeds
180 mmHg for 5 seconds, or when pump pressure exceeds 340 mmHg . A high pressure alarm
sounds if the joint pressure exceeds 300 mmHg for 2 seconds, or when the pump pressure
exceeds 430 mmHg . The low pressure light illuminates if pressure drops below 10 mmHg for
three consecutive seconds .
WARNING! If water accidentally enters the pressure sensor tubing, change the
Inflow Tubing and restart the system.
To fill the chamber:
Press the Fill Chamber pad to fill the pressure chamber initially, and
throughout surgery as needed . The chamber should never be over
1/3 full .
NOTE: If pressure alarm sounds, refer to Section 6.5, Pressure
Warnings and Alarms.
