Equipment Disposal

Per Directive 2002/96/EC, product must be collected separately . Do not dispose of
as unsorted municipal waste . Contact your DePuy Synthes Sales Representative for
disposal information .
The FMS VUE II contains electronic printed circuit assemblies as well as a Lithium-
based non-rechargeable coin cell battery located on the main circuit board . At the
end of the useful life of the equipment, remove battery from the main circuit board
and dispose of electronic circuit assemblies and battery in accordance with national
or institutional policies for disposing of electronic equipment and batteries .
This symbol indicates that the product contains less than the maximum concentration
value of all six hazardous substances .
This symbol identifies that products contain certain toxic or hazardous substances
or elements, and can be used safely during the environmental protection use
period . The number in the middle of the logo indicates the environmental projection
use period (number of years) for the electronic information product . The logo also
signifies that the product should be recycled immediately after its environmental
protection use has expired .
Dispose of any system accessories according to institutional procedures for potentially
contaminated items .
