6.7.2 Foot Pedal Pressure Control Functions

The Foot Pedal controls the FLOW+ and BLOODSTOP features .
FLOW+ feature increases flow without increasing joint pressure .
BLOODSTOP™ is a timed cycle of increased flow and pressure that controls
bleeding and clears the field of view .
NOTE: When foot pedal is connected, the handpiece buttons are disabled. To activate both
handpiece and foot pedal see Section 6.7.4.
NOTE: The pump Pinch Valve will not move into the handpiece position via the foot pedal
if a competitive handpiece is connected to the FMS CONNECT Cable (Contact your DePuy
Synthes representative for availability).

Activate/Cancel FLOW+
Press...
Standard Mode: Press the
FLOW+ button on the Foot
Pedal to start FLOW+ . Release
the button to stop FLOW+ .
One Minute Mode: Press the
FLOW+ button on the Foot
Pedal for at least one (1)
second then release . FLOW+
will be activated for 1 minute .
This mode of Flow+ can
be cancelled with a second
momentary press at any time
during the 1 minute cycle
