Operation "BALANCING MODE"
5.7
W h e e l m e a s u r i n g r u n
(AUTOMATIC)
Note: Starting from the completely lifted position, lower
the wheel guard, at medium speed without stops
or jerks even to the side.
Warnings:
You must be very careful when lowering the guard,
as the machine simultaneously detects the diameter,
the distance and the width of the rim on the outside
of the wheel.
At the end of the run, the unbalance values and the
points where the balancing weights should be applied
are displayed.
Only if it is impossible to read the wheel width (e.g.: rim
without a tyre) the wheel data input screen page appears
automatically, with the values not detected shown in red.
If you lower the wheel guard incorrectly:
the machine immediately indicates the incorrect
manoeuvre, showing a specifi c warning icon on the
screen. (H, Fig. 5-14).
The message is cleared
- automatically after a few seconds
- when you reopen the wheel guard
- when you press the STOP key or the ESC key
With the wheel guard already lowered, a measuring
run can be performed by pressing the START key.
In this way the wheel width is not automatically
detected by the sensor and the machine uses the last
value saved.
To check current width value, press key 1 (Fig. 5-15)
which allows access to the rim data entry screen.
The width value is shown in red, indicating that it was
not detected automatically.
If necessary you can set the width manually before
proceeding.
