5. INSTRUCTIONS
5.1. BEFORE USE
5.1.1. PARENT UNIT POWER AND BATTERY USE
The monitor, or parent unit, of this baby monitor is designed to be used with the battery or
with the AC/DC adapter supplied. The rechargeable battery must be charged for at least
eight hours before using the unit for the first time or if it has not been used for a long time.
Your baby monitor is supplied with a rechargeable 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion battery for the
monitor. We recommend using the battery in the monitor in order to be able to receive the
audio/video signal from the camera anywhere. Connect the monitor to the adapter plugged
into the mains whenever possible, in order to keep the battery charged.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Unscrew and remove the cover from the battery compartment (15) on the back of the
unit.
2. Insert the Li-ion battery (supplied).
3. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.

Caution: Use only batteries of the recommended type because, otherwise, there is
risk of explosion. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
Note: The parent unit is equipped with a battery saver function in order to prolong
battery life. When not using the two units, it is recommended to turn them off in
order to save battery.
BATTERY CHARGE
Insert the rechargeable battery according to the instructions in the previous section.
There are two different methods for recharging the battery:
1. Connect the power adapter to the mini USB socket on the side of the unit (13). Use only
the adapter supplied. Plug the adapter into the mains.
2. Click the menu button (4) on the monitor and the main menu (t) will appear on the
screen. Click the setting icon (s) and select the monitor setting option
. From all the
options available, choose USB output. At this point, select the check box next to the icon
and click OK.
After configuring the monitor, using a mini USB-USB cable (not included), connect your
monitor to the USB port of a computer. If the computer is on, the charging process will start
directly.
