3.5.2 Setup Sub-menu

The Setup Sub-menu is used to define the
following operational parameters, automatic
zero-tracking capture range, filter level and
automatic shut off time interval. The Global Reset
function is also included in this Sub-menu.
With the balance turned off, press and hold On until MENU is displayed, then release
the button. Press No when Calibrate is displayed. Press Yes when Setup is displayed.
Automatic Zero-Setting
Environmental changes can cause the display to
drift. The Automatic Zero-Setting Mechanism
(AZSM) is designed to keep the balance set at
zero, despite these slight changes.
Press Yes to enter the AZSM. The display
shows the first Automatic Zero-Setting option.
Press No to view the next setting.
SET 2d, or SET 5d. The default setting is SET 1d.
Press Yes to accept the setting on the display and go to the FILTER Menu Item.
Filter
The Filter Menu Item is used to match
the filtering level to the balance's environment.
Use the low setting (SET LOW) when environmental
disturbances are not present.
Use the medium setting (SET MED) for normal
environments.
Use the high setting (SET HIGH) when vibrations or air currents are present.
When FILTER is displayed, press Yes to view the setting. Press No to change this
setting, or Yes to accept the setting and go to the Auto Off Menu Item.
Auto Off
The Auto Off Menu Item is used to set the auto-
matic shut off time interval as follows:
SET OFF = always on
SET 1 = shuts off after 1 minute
SET 2 = shuts off after 2 minutes
SET 5 = shuts off after 5 minutes
If it has not been disturbed for a specified time interval, the balance will automatically
turn off. When A OFF is displayed, press Yes to view the setting. Press No to change
the setting, or Yes to accept the setting and go to the Global Reset Menu Item.
Setting options are Set OFF, SET .5d, SET 1d,
(d = divisions of readability).
