3.6 Additional Features

3.6.1 Weigh Below

The Adventurer SL balance is equipped with a Weigh Below hook located in an
opening underneath the balance.
Note: In order to protect the balance from damage, do not place it upside down on
the platform or mounting cone.
To use this feature, remove power from the balance and remove the protective cover
from the weigh below opening. The balance may be supported using lab jacks or
by any other convenient method. Make sure the balance is level and secure. Use a
string or wire to attach items to be weighed.

3.6.2 Battery Operation

Refer to Section 5.2 to determine if your Adventurer SL model operates on battery
power when AC power is not supplied. Models with the battery operation feature will
display the battery charge indicator, as shown below.
