4.6.4.3 Salinity Measuring
Before measure salinity, you must refer to chapter 'Selection of Conductive Electrode' to confirm
the conductive electrode to be used in measuring, set suitable electrode constant.
When measure salinity, we usually adopt conductive electrode with constant 10. When salinity
≥ 1.00%, you must adopt the electrode with electrode constant 10.
Under start mode, if you have already selected conductive measuring mode parameter, such as
conductivity parameter, you can start measuring directly. Otherwise, you should enter into 'Setup
Measuring Mode', select conductive measuring unit to measure. (Please refer to 'Set Measuring
Mode' for details).
For the display, measuring procedure and operating, please refer to chapter 'conductivity
measuring'.
4.6.4 Dissolved Oxygen Measuring
Meter could measure dissolved oxygen concentration, dissolved oxygen saturation and electrode
current. Meter has automatic temperature compensation function and could make zero oxygen
calibration, full scale calibration, atmosphere calibration and salinity calibration.
When meter is used for first time, clean the dissolved oxygen electrode with distilled water
an insert into measured solution. When meter is turned on, you can make the measurement.
Meter calculates, displays dissolved oxygen concentration (or saturation) and electrode
current value.
If this is your first time using or long time not using the meter, please calibrate dissolved
oxygen electrode first, you can refer to chapter Dissolved Oxygen Calibration for details.
