4.6.4.1 Dissolved Oxygen Calibration
In order to get precise measuring result, dissolved oxygen electrode should be calibrated before
measuring. Meter has several calibration functions such as zero oxygen calibration and full scale
calibration.
Under DO measuring mode, press 'STD' key, select 'DO electrode' and confirm. You can start to
calibrate dissolved oxygen electrode which is displayed as follows:
On upper side of the screen are present DO electrode current, STD value and current temperature
value. In the middle are present Air Pressure and Salinity Factor. At the bottom is STD result. On
right side are press keys including 'Zero STD', 'Full STD' and 'SETUP' for setting air pressure and
salinity.
4.6.4.1.1 Zero Oxygen Calibration
Clean DO oxygen electrode with distilled water and insert into 5% fresh Na
When reading figure stable, press 'Zero STD' and then press 'ENTER', meter will automatically
record zero oxygen value, zero oxygen calibration finishes.
4.6.4.1.2 Full Scale Calibration
Take out dissolved oxygen electrode from solution, clean with water and dry it with filter paper,
put into vessel with distilled water (such as tri-angel beaker, high leg beaker), place in the air
close to water or place in air and make sure there is no water on the surface of electrode.
Press 'STD' key, meter enters into dissolved oxygen calibration status.
When reading figure stable, press 'Full STD' then press 'ENTER', meter will automatically
record full scale value, full scale calibration finishes.
Generally, it is not necessary to set salinity. The acquiescent value is 0.0g/L
There are two ways to set DO salinity. One is: when calibrate DO electrode, press 'SETUP' key
beside salinity, meter shows an input window, you can input salinity directly. Another is: In view
using parameter of DO, you can also set salinity.
