Turn dal 2 to adjust the presser foot pressure of presser
foot (asm.) 1 n the drecton of arrow mark A at the tme
of sewng. (Adjustng value at the tme of delvery : shaft
protrudng amount : 2.5 to 3.5 mm)
• Tghtenng dal 2 clockwse ncreases the presser foot
pressure.
• Tghtenng dal 2 counterclockwse decreases the
presser foot pressure.
＊ When the presser foot pressure s excessvely hgh,
the feed force wll deterorate. When the presser foot
pressure s excessvely low, sewng performance wll
be not stablzed.
Set the protrudng amount of 3 mm as the standard
and perform fine adjustment within the range where
sewng performance or feed force s not affected.
＊ After adjustng dal 2 , turn dal 3 wth dal 2 fixed and
fix the presser foot.
Adjust the heght B of the presser foot (asm.) when
the presser foot goes up by loosenng setscrew 3 and
changng poston C of hand lfter base 4 n the vertcal
B
drecton.
(Adjustng value at the tme of delvery : 2.5 mm)
• Lifting the fixing position of hand lifter base 4
ncreases heght B of the presser foot.
• Lowering the fixing position of hand lifter base 4
decreases heght B of the presser foot.
＊ The top end of the needle protrudes from the bottom
surface of the presser foot even when the presser foot
s lfted when the sewng machne stops at UP poston
n the case where the heght of the presser foot s more
than 2.5 mm. As a result, cloth may be damaged by
the top end of the needle.
When the heght of the presser foot s 2.5 mm or
less, cloth comes n contact wth the presser foot when
placng t on the sewng machne or removng t from
the sewng machne at the tme of sewng. As a result,
operating efficiency will deteriorate.
＊ Adjust the heght of hand lfter base 4 so that the
heght of the presser foot should be wthn the range
of 2 to 4 mm. After the completon of adjustment,
securely tghten setscrew 3 . (Tghtenng torque : .5
to 2.5 N·m)
