Product description
EMU KS... Ex
The system is driven by surface-cooled submersible motors in three-phase current ver-
sion. The motor is cooled by the fluid around it. The waste heat is transferred directly to
the fluid via the motor housing. The motor may emerge during operation. The connec-
tion cable is longitudinally sealed watertight and has bare cable ends or is equipped
with a CEE plug.
The seal for the fluid and the motor compartment is made via two mechanical seals. The
sealing chamber between the mechanical seals is filled with medical white oil.

Float switch
In the "S" version and "DMS" version, the pump is equipped with a float switch. De-
pending on the fill level, it is possible to switch the pump on and off automatically, by
using the float switch.
Plug
In the "E" version, a shockproof plug is attached and the "D" version has a CEE plug. The
plug is designed for use in commercially available shock-proof or CEE sockets and is not
overflow-proof.

Monitoring of motor winding
The thermal motor monitoring protects the motor winding from overheating. Temper-
ature limiter with bimetallic strip is fitted as standard.
Sealing chamber monitoring
The sealing chamber can be equipped with an external pencil electrode. The electrode
registers fluid ingress through the mechanical seal on the fluid side. An alarm or deac-
tivation of the pump can therefore take place through pump control.
