4.4.5 SEED DRILL SETTINGS
CONFIGURATION
Calibration factor (Fig. 23): dosing factor equivalent to the amount of product (Kg) that can be
obtained with one turn of the dosing roller. If known, it can be entered manually in the following
way:
1)
Select the function, using the arrows (D, Fig. 1)
2)
press OK (E, Fig. 1);
3)
select the number to be modified using arrows
4)
set the value using arrows
5)
press OK (E, Fig. 1) to save the set value
T.G.W. (Thousand Grain Weight) (Fig. 23): effective weight of 1000 seeds. This value can be
entered only if "Seeds/m²" is used as measure unit (see
CONFIGURATION
CUSTOMISE) menu.
To set the T.G.W. value, follow the same procedure described to set the "Cal. Factor" (see
above); the procedure is active only if both the following conditions are fulfilled:
no advancement speed;
no fan drive speed
Width: set the work width of the implement used for distribution.
To set the value, follow the same procedure described for setting "Cal Factor" (see above).
Forward speed sensor (Fig. 23): this sensor supplies the seed drill forward speed. Selecting
this function and pressing OK, the second level menu (Fig. 24) is accessed:
Signal: indicates the source supplying the forward speed (not modifiable)
SSF: the indicated value indicates the number of centimeters performed by the seed
drill per each impulse received by the speed sensor.
SSF Autocalibration: SSF value calculated with the automatic detection procedure
(example at chapter 4.4.6)
Min Speed: indicates the minimum advancement speed that is considered if the
monitor does not receive the number of impulses by the speed sensor (i.e. if SSF is
lower than 10cm/imp).
The minimum value allowed is 0.5 Km/h (if lower values are entered, the minimum
value will return being 0.5 Km/h, when the value is saved pressing OK).
Simulated speed (A, Fig. 24): the set value refers to the speed used in the event the monitor
does not receive the speed value. The above value intervenes if the speed sensor fails,
allowing proceeding with the sowing.
Pressing the key relative to the simulated speed symbol (F, Fig. 1), the screen of Fig. 25 is
displayed:
set the value using arrows
press OK (E, Fig. 1) to save the set value and enable (or disable) the function;
The function can be disabled in the following ways:
turning back to the simulated speed page (Fig. 25) and pressing the OK key;
Returning to the CONFIGURATION menu page and then pressing the key (C, Fig. 1)
relative to the OFF simulated speed symbol (A, Fig. 26)
When the function is active, section 1 of the MAIN menu (1, Fig 7) flashes; this means that the
indicated speed is that simulated and not the advancement real speed.
