4.5.1 PRODUCT CALIBRATION
To calibrate the product it is required that:
The seed drill has no advancement speed
The fan drive has no speed
Follow the steps below:
1)
Arrange the equipment with the dosing roller suitable for the product to be distributed.
2)
Place the collection tray under the doser; the door for unloading the product can be opened in two ways:
If the opening is managed electrically, the operation is automatic without involving the operator
If the opening is manual, the operator must open the door manually (or remove the curve, depending on the type
of seed drill purchased)
3)
Load some product inside the hopper.
4)
Before performing the dosing test, the dosing rollers must be filled with the product. Press for approximately 4 seconds the
CAL TEST button and then release it. Unload the product from the collection trays and place them back under the dosers.
Now the equipment is ready to perfrorm the dosing test.
5)
Press the CAL TEST button until an optimal amount of product has been collected:
10-15 kg for normal seeds or fertilisers;
3-5 kg for small seeds.
During this operation, the console display shows an icon with the moving dosing roller,
simulating the product fall inside the collection trays (Fig. 43).
NOTE: During the test the motor rotation CANNOT be stopped and started again. Once
the button has been released, end the dosing test or restart from step (5), after having
unloaded the collection trays.
6)
Release the CAL TEST button to stop the motors.
The console display shows an icon with the dosing roller stopped and an amount of
product inside the trays (Fig. 44). It indicates also a theoretical amount calculated
with the currently set parameters.
7)
Weigh the collected product:
If the weight value is equal to that shown in the monitor (Fig 44), press OK (E, Fig. 1)
if the weight value is different from that shown in the monitor (Fig. 44), manually enter the net value of the weight,
following the procedure below:
1)
select the number to be modified using arrows
2)
set the value using arrows
3)
press OK (E, Fig. 1) to save the set value
