4.6 SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

4.6.1 "SIMULATED SPEED" FUNCTION

Should the speed sensor fail, you can proceed working, programming the system at a simulated speed.
In this case, the tractor work-speed must be maintained the closer possible to the programmed simulated speed.
ATTENTION: if you advance at a higher speed than that simulated, less amount/hectare of product is distributed and vice-
versa.
For details related to the "simulated speed", refer to chapter 4.4.5.

4.6.2 "ANTICIPATED START" FUNCTION (PRE-START)

In the event a hopper is mounted in front of the tractor, the Pre-start function is really useful to avoid the non-sowed areas in the
headlands.
When the machine is stopped, the central unit activates the motors beforehand to load the dosing rollers and product transport
pipes, to ensure the product distribution also for the first meters.
To activate this function, press function key (D, Fig. 1) of the MAIN screen. The motor is activated at a fixed speed for a
maximum established time or until the system detects a work speed higher than 2 Km/h, taking up the complete proportional
control.
If after 5 seconds (pre-set value that can be modified) a work speed higher than 2 Km/h is not detected, the motor will stop
automatically.
ATTENTION: In the automatic Pre-start function, the user must wait 5 seconds from the moment the seed drill is set to the
work position (on the ground) before starting sowing; this period allows the system to bring the seed to the ground, from
the start (without non-sowed areas). The term "automatic" refers to the fact that the monitor receives the Pre-start
command from a switch (called finger); this switch allows determining the status of the machine (seed drill in work or
non-work position).
