Switching the coolant pump on/off and selecting the delivery rate (for
GA835 only)
Note
The coolant pump serves exclusively for cooling or irrigating the tools. The
maximum delivery rate is approx. 85 ml per minute.
Note
Follow the instructions for use of the foot control.
Switching the coolant pump on/off
►
Activate the corresponding switch on the foot control.
The "Pump On" indicator light 3 illuminates when the pump is
switched on.
If the pump is switched on, it runs when the motor is active.
Note
Once the motor has been active for more than two seconds, a special drive
control prevents further coolant from dripping out.
Selecting the delivery rate
►
Continuously control the coolant delivery rate using the delivery rate
control knob 2 (on the front of the device).

Validated reprocessing procedure

5.1

General safety instructions

Note
Adhere to national statutory regulations, national and international stan-
dards and directives, and local, clinical hygiene instructions for sterile pro-
cessing.
Note
For patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), suspected CJD or possi-
ble variants of CJD, observe the relevant national regulations concerning
the reprocessing of products.
Note
Mechanical reprocessing should be favored over manual cleaning as it
gives better and more reliable results.
Note
Successful processing of this medical device can only be ensured if the pro-
cessing method is first validated. The operator/sterile processing techni-
cian is responsible for this.
The recommended chemistry was used for validation.
Note
If there is no final sterilization, then a virucidal disinfectant must be used.
