NOTE: The dual system bathlayout will display a suffix to the staining reagents that corresponds to the staining system
being utilized (e.g. S1A/S1B, S2A/S2B).
Filling Reagent Vessels
•
All ancillary reagents need to be filled. To complete this, press the "Fill Reagents" button on the bottom of the screen.
The "Fill Reagents" window will now open. All reagents that need to be filled will be outlined in orange. Fill the marked
reagent vessels outside of the instrument with the corresponding reagents and set them back in the correct position in the
instrument. Confirm filling and placement of the reagent vessels by pressing the respective station on the screen. The orange
outline of that box will then disappear. Repeat this step until all stations marked in orange have been filled.
CAUTION: The arrangement of the reagent vessels is to be followed exactly. Any deviation can lead to undesired staining results.
•
Once all ancillary reagents have been filled and accepted, the staining system is ready to be scanned. Select a staining
reagent from the bathlayout screen. A message will pop up, prompting scanning of the staining system. Place the staining
system container label up to the RFID sensor on the front, left side of the instrument. This will scan the staining system into
the instrument software. After being prompted by a message, scan the first reagent bottle in the staining system by holding
the reagent bottle label in front of the RFID sensor on the front, left side of the instrument. Reagent bottles may be scanned
in any order. A new window will open displaying the bathlayout. The reagent that was scanned in will be outlined in orange
on the bathlayout. Remove the reagent vessel from the instrument, open the reagent bottle, and pour all the reagent into the
reagent vessel. Place the reagent vessel back into the respective station. Once this is completed, confirm filling and placement
of the reagent vessel by pressing the respective station on the screen. Repeat this step until all 5 reagent bottles have been
scanned and placed in their respective stations on the instrument. After all reagent vessels have been scanned in and filled,
a window will open instructing to complete a "Fill Level Scan". Press "OK" to complete the fill level scan.
