Single Point Anchor
Inspect the Bolt (A) or concrete fixing, Rotation Sleeve (B), washers (C, E, G, J ), Anchor
Eye (D), Marking Plate (F), Nylon Lock Nut (H), Nylon Bush (I), and Gasket (K) for damage
(Figure 2)
and deformation. Any Single Point Anchor that shows signs of tampering must be removed
from service. It may not be used for fall arrest, fall restraint, work positioning, or rescue
applications.
Inspect the Single Point Anchor for proper embedment. The device must be seated firmly
against the structure.
Inspect the entire device for signs of corrosion. Inspect the device for cracks or wear that
may affect strength and operation.
Torque all fasteners with a torque wrench to the torque value recommended by the
manufacturer.
Labels (Figure 10)
Verify that all labels are securely attached and are legible (see 'Labels').
Verify that the structure and drilled hole meet the requirements of Table 1 and Section 2.
Structure
Verify that the structure is free of any cracks or damage.
PFAS and Other
Additional Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) equipment (harness, SRD, etc) that are
used with the Anchorage System should be installed and inspected per the manufacturer's

instructions.
