- Bring the plate closer to the graduated knob.
- Unscrew the knob completely.
- Pull the carrier plate vigorously towards the operator until you hear the "click" of the safety pin. In this
position the thickness gauge plate and the sliding product holder plate cannot be moved.

Proceed in the opposite direction to the previous steps.
XII.MAINTENANCE
General
In addition to the cleaning operations described in the previous paragraphs, periodic maintenance
operations must be performed to ensure the efficiency of the slicer over time.
The maintenance operations allowed to the operator are as follows:
- Blade sharpening: periodically (frequency and duration obviously depend on the use of the equipment,
working times and type of product processed).
- Lubrication of carriage sliding guides: weekly.
- Press-goods sliding rod lubrication: weekly.
- Visual check of the conditions of the power supply cable and of the cable gland on the machine base:
periodically.
