10.5. Replace the spindles of
the round fan control
Note!
The round fan control (R) is
fixed to the ideal value with a
lock washer cannot be adjusted.
However, the components can be
replaced during maintenance.
Dismantle spindle
■ Unscrew the countersunk screw
[13-4].
■ Remove the control knob [13-3].
■ Unscrew the spindle [13-2] using the
SATA universal spanner.
■ Remove the lock washer [13-1].
Mount new spindle
■ Position the lock washer [13-1].
■ Screw the spindle [13-2] in using the
SATA universal spanner.
■ Position the control knob [13-3].
■ Screw in the countersunk screw [13-
4] by hand. Secure with Loctite 242.
10.6. Replace the scale on
the gun body
Remove the scale
■ Unscrew the screw [14-4].
■ Remove the flat washer [14-3].
■ Remove the scale [14-2].
■ Remove the spacer [14-1].
Mount new scale
■ Position the spacer [14-1].
■ Position the scale [14-2] with the
marks to the outside.
■ Position the flat washer [14-3].
■ Screw in the screw [14-4] by hand.

10.7. Replacing the control
If the seal or sleeve of the control
piston is damaged, it is possible
for air to leak from the material
flow control [1-4] or from the reg-
ulating cap [1-2].
→ Replace seal or sleeve imme-
diately.
The sealing surface of the control
piston is very sensitive and dam-
ages easily.
→ Do not chuck the control piston
at the sealing surface.
Dismantle components
■ Unscrew the regulating cap [15-1].
■ Remove washer [15-2] and spring
[15-3].
■ Unscrew the end cap [15-4].
■ Remove both springs [15-5], [15-6].
■ Remove paint needle [15-7].
■ Pull the control piston [15-8] out using
flat pliers.
■ Fix the control piston [16-7] using the
SATA universal spanner.
■ Unscrew hex socket screw (spanner
size 4) [16-9].
■ Remove O-ring [16-8].
■ Unscrew banjo screw (spanner size
14) [16-1].
■ Remove washer [16-2] and sleeve
[16-3].
■ Take the compression spring [16-4],
washer [16-5] and seal [16-6] out of
the control piston.
■ Check parts for damage and soiling,
clean or replace if necessary.
