INFO: Seals are required between the individual components to ensure the re-
quired degree of IP protection.
1. Mount the coupling housing (8) to the linear unit (6) – without using the foot
mounting (option):
Insert a square seal with cut-out (5) between both components and mount
the housing (8) to the linear unit (6) by tightening the 4 hexagon socket
screws (9).
2. Mount the coupling housing (8) to the linear unit (6) – with the foot mount-
ing (option):
First mount the foot mounting (7) to the linear unit (6) and then to the cou-
pling housing (8): Insert one square seal with cut-out (5) each between all
components and mount the housing (8) to the linear unit (6) by tightening
the 4 hexagon socket screws (9).
3. Mount the motor flange (10) to the coupling housing (8): Insert a round seal
(4) between the motor flange and the coupling housing and tighten with
4 screws (3).
Make sure that the coupling is mounted in line with the positioning dimension
information (with/without foot mounting kit) depending on the configura-
tion:
- For coupling without foot mounting. See g Table 4.
- For coupling with foot mounting. See g Table 5.
- Tightening torques for screws. See g Table 2.
4. Mount the motor flange (10) to the motor (1): Insert the seal (2) between the
two components and tighten with 4 screws (11).
6.5 Assembling the parallel motor attachment kit
(sizes 32/40/63 mm)
6.5.1 Purpose
The parallel motor attachment kit enables parallel motor attachment to an SPRA
series linear unit.

1. Mount the motor (2) to the intermediate plate (4): Insert the square seal with-
out recess (3) and tighten all hexagon socket screws (1).
In doing so, observe the alignment mark (5) on the intermediate plate.
2. Mount the linear unit (15) to the intermediate plate (4): Insert the square seal
with recess (14) and secure with the 4 hexagon socket screws (12).
Important: Do not tighten the screws (12) yet!
