1. Press "Horizontal intersection" button (22) to determine the intersection point of
the outer tool edge with the horizontal.
2. Press the "Vertical intersection" button (23) to determine the intersection point of
the upper tool edge with the vertical.
Intersection with the horizontal (left-hand image)
The intersection point of the tool contour with the horizontal is marked with a
purple line (1).
The tangent to the tool edge in the X direction is marked with a green line (2).
The intersection point and cutting angle of the two lines are determined (3, 4).
The coordinates of the intersection point (3) are output in the measured value
window.
The cutting angle is displayed (4) and output in the measured value window.
Intersection with the vertical (right-hand image)
The intersection point of the tool contour with the vertical is marked with a
purple line (1).
The tangent to the tool edge in the Z direction is marked with a green line (2).
The intersection point and cutting angle of the two lines are determined (3, 4).
The coordinates of the intersection point (3) are output in the measured value
window.
The cutting angle is displayed (4) and output in the measured value window.

1. Press the "Theoretical tip" button (24) to determine the tip value of the tool con-
tour in the Z direction.
Function description
X=0 is marked with a purple line (1).
The tangent to the longest upper tool edge is represented by a green line (2).
The intersection point and cutting angle of the two lines are determined (3, 4).
The coordinates of the intersection point (3) are output in the measured value
window.
The cutting angle is displayed (4) and output in the measured value window.

field (white rectangle)
1. Press the "Intersection point" button (27) to determine the intersection point of
the two longest tool edges in the image field.
Function description
The tangents to the two longest tool edges in the image field are represented by
green lines (1, 2)
The intersection point and cutting angle of the two lines are determined (3, 4).
The coordinates of the intersection point (3) are output in the measured value
window.
The cutting angle is displayed (4) and output in the measured value window.

1. Press the "Radius tool" button (28) to determine the radius of the tangential circle
for the upper tool radius in the image field.
Function description
The dynamic cross hair is displayed.
The tangential circle to the tool radius and the radius vector are represented by
green lines (1).
If the red intersection point of the dynamic cross hair is tapped (2), the red point
jumps to the centre of the tangential circle (3).
The coordinates of the centre point (3) are output in the measured value window.
If the red point at the centre of the tangential circle (3) is tapped, it jumps back to
the centre of the dynamic cross hair.
7.4.10.
Angle
1. Press the "Trigonometric function" button (29) to determine angles between tan-
gents to the tool contour.
2. Activate the desired subfunction by pressing the button repeatedly.
Function description
Measurement function determines the angles as shown in the table.
The angle is shown in the measured value window.
7.4.11.
Horizontal / vertical search beam
Horizontal search beam
Vertical search beam
1. Press the "Horizontal search beam" button (31) to determine the intersection
point of the tool contour with a specified X-value.
2. Press the "Vertical search beam" button (32) to determine the intersection point
of the tool contour with a specified Z-value.
3. Position the search beam by tapping the touch screen or using the cursor.
Function description
The intersection point of the tool contour with the search beam (purple line) is
marked with a red dot.
The coordinates of the intersection point are output in the measured value win-
dow.
7.4.12.
