10. Cleaning
Disconnect from the power supply before starting cleaning. Clean with a slightly
damp cloth. Do not use chemical, alcohol-based, abrasive or solvent-based cleaners.
11. Storage
After use, cover the unit with the dust cover.
If the unit is to be stored for an extended period, place it in the transport case in a dry
place protected from light and dust at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C and
relative atmospheric humidity between 50% and 70%. Protect stored components
against mechanical shaking and damage.

Order original spare parts from the Hoffmann Group Customer Service.

For safe transport, comply with Transport, place of erection [} Page 16].
1. Press the "End measurement software" button (5) to shut down the pre-setting
device VG1.
2. Use the main switch to switch off the pre-setting device VG1.
3. Disconnect the cable connections from the pre-setting device VG1 in the reverse
order described in Connecting the power supply [} Page 16]).
4. Move the tower and anti-rotation arm to their end positions, and fit the transport
restraint for the X-axis and Z-axis. See Remove the transport restraint [} Page 16].
5. Screw four bolts of sufficient length (M16x100) into all corners of the VG1.
6. Per bolt, mount a heavy-duty sling and attach each to one fork of a fork-lift truck.
7. Carefully lift the pre-setting device VG1. Ensure there is one person on the right
and one on the left in order to support the tower and prevent it from tipping.
8. Place the pre-setting device VG1 on the Euro pallet.
9. Remove the four M16x100 screws.
10. Using four M16 screws, screw the pre-setting device VG1 to the pallet with the
help of the supplied brackets.
Apply foam between the granite block and the brackets to prevent scratches and
other damage.
11. Tighten the four M16 bolts with a maximum torque of 5 Nm.
12. Fold in the printer and keyboard holder as far as possible. Apply foam between
the holder and the cover to prevent scratches and other damage.
13. Move the camera arm right to the bottom.
14. Rub lubricant (WD-40) into the tool mounting, remove the taper needle roller
bearing, fill the tool mounting with oiled paper.
15. Wrap the pre-setting device in film, screw the side walls of the case to each other.
16. Fit the cover of the case and screw it into position.
