Replace drive belt

Expanded or cracked drive belts should be replaced as follows:

• Disconnect the machine from the power supply.

• Release the locking lever of the motor plate (1).

• Lift the motor by the belt tensioning handle (1a), the

drive belt is slackened.

• Remove the back cover (2) on the headstock.

• Loosen the switch unit with the bracket (3) and

remove the pin from the hinge (4).

• Loosen the 2 opposite worm screws on the handwheel

(5). Do not remove the screws completely.

• Fix the spindle shaft with the fixing rod (6).

• At the same time, turn the handwheel counter

clockwise from the spindle (7).

• Remove the spacer sleeve of the spindle (8).
