3.5 PFS 18T, PFS HLW18TI Lifting Wedge
1. On models with an external pump, the pump has to be connected first. See section 3.1.
2. Position the Lifting Wedge under the workpiece to be lifted. The minimum gap under
the workpiece must be 9.5 mm. Insert the Lifting Wedge as far as possible between the
surfaces. Ensure that there is sufficient space for the wedge that is placed under the jaw.
3. When using several Lifting Wedges, it is important that the load is distributed uniformly.
4. Slightly pressurise the Lifting Wedge. Check that everything remains in position and is
stable.
5. Pressurise the Lifting Wedge until the first stage of the safety block can be inserted.
Stop the pump and position the safety block. When the safety block has been inserted
securely, continue to pump until the required height is achieved.
6 We urgently advise against working when the product is supported only by a Lifting
Wedge The forces must be borne by a safety block during work Even then it is
important that the stability is checked again
7. The safety block can also be used as a temporary support. The safety block can be
inserted if the Lifting Wedge has to be moved. Then depressurise the Lifting Wedge so
that it can be repositioned.
8. Please note! The safety block is absolutely not suitable for increasing the height
of the Lifting Wedge! A special raising block is supplied for increasing the height of
the Lifting Wedge that can be installed on the Lifting Wedge Increasing the height
of the Lifting Wedge in any other way is not permitted This could lead to serious
injury and material damage!
9. After use we recommend that the Lifting Wedge is cleaned and then stored in the case
supplied (where applicable).
36 HNS Series Nut Splitter
1. Connect the Nut Splitter to a pump. See section 3.1.
2. Check whether the Nut Splitter is suitable for the nut to be split. The working range is
indicated on the Nut Splitter.
3. Position the Nut Splitter around the nut. It is very important that the flat surface of the
jaw is correctly positioned against a flat side of the nut. The Nut Splitter must be centered
on the nut so that the wedge splits the nut in the middle of the flat side (weakest point).
4. Slightly pressurise the Nut Splitter. Check that everything remains in position and is
stable.
5. Keep pumping until the nut has been split.
6. Relieve the cylinder and remove the Splitter.
7. After use we recommend that the Splitter is cleaned and then stored.
