3.3 15 TL, 15 TLS, 25 TLS Spreaders
1. Connect the Spreader to a pump. See section 3.1.
2. Position the Spreader between the 2 surfaces to be separated. The minimum gap
between the surfaces must be 5 mm for a 15 TL(S) and 8 mm for a 25 TLS. Insert the
Spreader as far as possible between the surfaces. Ensure that there is sufficient space for
the wedge that is placed between the jaws.
3. When using several Spreaders, it is important that the load is distributed uniformly.
4. Pressurise the Spreaders. Check that everything remains in position and is stable.
5. Pressurise the Spreader until the first stage of the safety block can be inserted. Stop the
pump and position the safety block. When the safety block has been inserted securely,
continue to pump until the necessary separation is achieved.
6 We urgently advise against working when the product is supported only by a
Spreader The forces must be borne by a safety block during work Even then it is
important that the stability is checked again
7. The safety block can also be used as a temporary support. The safety block can be
inserted if the Spreader has to be moved. The Spreader must then be depressurised and
can be repositioned.
8. Please note! The safety block is absolutely not suitable for increasing the height of
the Spreader! Increasing the height of the Spreader is not permitted at any time
This could lead to serious injury and material damage!
9. After use we recommend that the Spreader is cleaned and then stored in the case
supplied (where applicable).
34 PFS 10T, PFS 10TI Flange Spreaders
1. On models with external pump, the pump has to be connected first. See section 3.1.
2. Remove the shaft from the claws.
3. Position the Flange Spreader at the required point. The bolt hole in the flange must have
a minimum diameter of 32 mm.
4. Push the shaft through the claws and the flange.
5. Push the claws up to ± 20 mm from the flange.
6. When using several Spreaders, these must be positioned uniformly around the
circumference. For example, with 2 Spreaders opposite one another, with 3 Spreaders at
intervals of 120°.
7. Slightly pressurise the Spreaders. Check the alignment of the wedge and ensure that all
the parts are positioned correctly.
8. Separate the flanges by the required distance.
9. When working on or between the flanges, position the safety block supplied
between the flanges and depressurise the Spreader(s). Pay attention to the
stability of the parts at all times
10. After use we recommend that the Flange Spreader is cleaned and then stored in the case
supplied (where applicable).
