Charging and Installing the
Battery Pack

Use the battery completely before charging!
Before you charge the battery, make sure it has
been used (discharged) completely to avoid
capacity down of the battery caused by
excessive charging.
To use up the battery, remove the video cassette
and simply slide the POWER switch of the
camcorder to CAMERA with the battery
attached, and leave the camcorder until the QJ
indicator appears flashing and red lamps in the
viewfinder and on the viewfinder barrel flash.
Notes on the AC power adaptor
* The camcorder cannot be operated while charging
the battery pack.
¢ The POWER lamp will remain lit for a while even if
the battery pack is detached and the power cord is
disconnected after charging the battery pack. This
is normal.
¢ if the POWER lamp does not light, set the VTR(DC
OUT)/CHARGE selector to OFF and disconnect
the power cord. In about one minute, reconnect the
power cord and set the VTR(DC OUT)/CHARGE
selector to CHARGE again.

Antes de recargar la bateria, cerciérese de que
se haya empleado (descargado) completamente
a fin de evitar la reduccién de su capacidad
debido a la carga excesiva.
Para emplear completamente la bateria, extraiga
el videocassette, deslice el selector POWER
hasta CAMERA con la bateria instalada, y deje
la alimentacion de la unidad conectada hasta
que aparezca el indicador (\J y parpadee la
lampara roja del visor.

* La videocamara no podra utilizarse mientras la
bateria esté cargandose.
« La lampara POWER permanecera encendida
durante cierto tiempo aunque extraiga la bateria y
desconecte el cable de alimentacién después de la
carga. Esto es normal.
* Si la lampara POWER no se apaga, ponga e!
selector VTR (DC OUT)/CHARGE en OFF y
desconecte el cable de alimentacién. Después de
un minuto, vuelva a conectar el cable de
alimentacién y a poner el selector VTR
(DC OUT)/
CHARGE en CHARGE.
