CAUTION: Risk of electric shock!
• The appliance must not be plugged into the socket during cleaning. Before cleaning, switch
off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket. Then turn off the circuit breaker or

remove the fuse.

• Remove food from the appliance before cleaning. Store the food in a cool place and cover it
properly.
• Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in the electrical

components.
• Hot vapours can cause damage to plastic parts.
• Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g. lemon juice or juice from

orange peel, butyric acid or cleaners containing acetic acid.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Clean the appliance and interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water. Commercially
available dishwashing liquids can also be used.

• After cleaning, wipe the product with fresh water, using a clean cloth.
• Dust accumulation on the condenser increases energy consumption; clean the condenser on
the back of the appliance once a year with a soft brush or hoover. (Only for a product with an

external condenser).
• Check the water drain hole on the back wall of the refrigerator compartment.
• Clear a blocked drain hole with an object such as a soft peg, and take care not to damage the
KZ
appliance housing in any way by using sharp objects.
• After all the components have dried, switch the appliance back on.

Taking the appliance out of service
• Empty the appliance.
• Clean the appliance thoroughly (see Cleaning and maintenance section).

• Leave the door open to prevent the formation of odours.
Noises during use of the appliance

• Clacking: Every time the compressor is switched on or off, a clicking sound is heard.
• Buzzing: As soon as the compressor is switched on, you will hear it humming.
• Bubbling: As the refrigerant flows through the thin tubes, you will hear bubbling and splashing

noises and splashing sounds.
• Splashing: Even after the compressor has stopped, this noise can be heard for a short time for
a short period of time.

Energy saving tips
• Do not install the appliance near stoves, radiators or any other heat sources.

• Keep the time the appliance is open to a minimum.
• Do not set the temperature colder than necessary - Make sure that the side and back plates of
the appliance are at a certain distance from the wall, and follow the installation instructions.
