ON SCREEN FUNCTION DISPLAY
The VCR operating
mode can be shown on the screen while you are
playing back a tape or watching a broadcast on the video channel.
Preparations
.
Have the TV on and tuned to the video channel or video input mode,
(See page 22.)
Check the OUTPUT system indicator (NTSC) lights. If not, press the
OUTPUT SYSTEM (NTSC) button. (See page 42.)

TO DISPLAY INDICATORS
Press the COUNTER DISPLAY button.
Each time pressing, the screen changes as illustration.
(l)AUTO
display
When the VCR operation mode is changed, the affected indicator are
displayed in the areas for 5 seconds.
During index search or function memory, an indicator is shown.
(2) COUNTER display
Tape
counter
is continuously
displayed,
Other
indicators
are
displayed as in AUTO display.
(3)FULL display
All indicators (areas) are displayed.
(4) Display off
All indicators disappears.
. When the VCR power is interrupted for more 3 minutes, the on-screen
function display is set to the AUTO screen.
When you record a video signal output from this unit or another VCR,
set the on-screen
function
display
off. (If the mode indicator
is
displayed
on the screen, it is also recorded on the tape.)
