10 Setting up and connecting
Before setting up and connecting the appliance, ensure that
•
the appliance is disconnected from the mains power supply (see safety chapter, →
Electric Shock) and
•
the installation conditions are fulfilled (see chapter Minimum Clearances).
Unpacking the appliance
The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport
damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power
supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier.
RISK OF INJURY AND APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
•
Always carry out transport with a second person.
•
Do not cut packaging material with a sharp object, e.g. carpet knife.
Removing transport protection
The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport.
✓ Remove all adhesive tape on the right and left side of the appliance door.
✓ Remove all adhesive tapes and packaging parts from the interior of the appliance.
✓ Remove residues of adhesive with alkaline water.
✓ There may be stickers with warnings on the appliance. These must be observed
and not removed from the appliance.
