TOOL USE
5.1.
Intended use of the product
For proper use, it is mandatory to hold the tool firmly with both hands and switch it on via the ON/OFF switch (5).
To set the chain speed, use the +/- keys (6).
Press the safety catch (8), located above the gripping point, to release the operating lever of the tool. Then act on
the lever (7) to start the tool. When the operating lever (7) is released, the active safety catch (8) engages auto-
matically and the tool stops.
Before storing the tool make sure the chain is stationary, switch off the ON/OFF switch (5), disconnect the con-
nector (9), the power cable (13) and insert the bar cover (3) to protect the chain (16).
CAUTION!
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use can cause
injury and is prohibited.
•
Only activate the tool when it is inserted between the branches. Improper use causes greater wear on
the tool and does not save battery consumption.
•
Never disconnect the power connector while the tool is in use.
KICKBACK
The kickback can be produced when the bar upper part touches an object, or when the wood gets locked
or crushed during the cut. Hold the chain pruner firmly with both hands in order to avoid or reduce the
kickback effect. The knowledge and prevention of any kickback eliminates the "surprise factor", therefore
reducing potential accidents. Ensure that the area where you are cutting is free of obstacles and/or mate-
rials that can be ejected.
5.2.
Improper uses
•
Never use the tool when your balance is unstable.
•
Do not use on slippery ground or steep slopes.
•
Do not use the tool in the rain or on wet branches
•
Do not cut materials other than wood.
•
Never use the tool as a lever or for lifting, moving or breaking any objects.
•
Never use the tool in an explosive or flammable atmosphere.
•
Do not use the tool in all prohibition and requirement conditions indicated in this manual (see also paragraph
2.3).
