5.3.
Work and sectioning rules
5.3.1.
Sectioning cut
Place hook (24) on the branch.
Start the tool by simultaneously pressing the safety catch (8) and the operating lever (7).
Cut the trunk with the lower part of the chain bar (15).
If the branch is under tension: Perform an unloading cut on the side under pressure, then on the
side under tension with a sectioning cut.
5.3.2.
Cutting thick branches
Make an unloading cut (A) 20 cm in front of the identified point (B), where the sectioning cut will then be made.
CAUTION!
If the wood blocks the chain (16) during cutting, stop the motor, lift the log and change its position. Do not
attempt to free the chain (16) by pulling the tool by the handle (1).
5.4.
Tool transport and handling
Before handling the tool, in case of short movements, make sure that:
a) The tool is switched off
b) The chain is stationary
c) The bar cover (3) is inserted.
Once the above conditions have been verified, proceed with handling by turning the cutting head backwards with
respect to the direction of movement, ensuring that no persons, things or animals can come into contact with the
tool.
In the case of moving from different sites or for long journeys, in addition to the above (point a-b-c), it is also
prescribed to:
d) disconnect the cord from the battery
e) store the tool in its packaging
CAUTION!
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use may cause
injuries.
5.5.
Storing
After use, or in the case of long periods of inactivity, it is prescribed to:
Follow the procedure for shutting down and securing the tool, above (see paragraph 5.4).
Empty the oil tank (20) and close the cap (11).
Remove cutting residues (sawdust) from the front cover (2). Reassemble and clean the tool perfectly.
Place the bar cover (3) on the bar (15).
Follow all the maintenance instructions in the manual.
