Preparing milk froth

Prerequisite: The appliance must be ready for operation (see „Switching on
and off" on page 54).
Make sure that the chrome-plated outer casing of the steam pipe is
pushed downwards (Fig. K, no. 1).

Fill the vessel with milk to one third maximum; when frothing the volume
of milk increases signifi cantly.
Hold the vessel containing the milk under the steam pipe. Ensure that
the tip of the steam pipe is immersed in the milk.
Warning!
There is a risk of burn injuries and scalding due to the hot steam and the
hot steam pipe.
Never reach into the escaping steam.
Never touch the steam pipe during use or immediately after use.
Turn the valve switch (Fig. A, no. 11) clockwise to the stop to open the
valve.

froths the milk and heats it at the same time. You will achieve better frothing
results if you move the vessel containing the milk up and down while
frothing.
Turn the valve switch anti-clockwise to the stop to close the valve and
thereby end the frothing process. The volume of milk should have about
doubled and the vessel should be warm to the touch.
Immediately rinse the steam pipe after every use by dispensing steam
or hot water.
