A.1. FCC regulatory notices

•
Specific operational use conditions:
This device is intended to be installed in a host. The operational use condition of this device is extended to
the host product. Installation and operating instruction of the host product includes all the applicable FCC
regulatory notices listed in this Appendix.

Limited module procedure is not applicable to this device.
•
Trace antenna design is not applicable to this device.
•
RF exposure statement:
This device is only allowed to be operated in mobile conditions with at least 20 cm distance from a human
body, and is not intended to be operated as a portable device. No authorization has been granted for
simultaneous transmission with another radio transmitter, except for FCC authorization in accordance with
multi-transmitter evaluation procedures. The host product evaluates the compliance and is responsible for
FCC-permissive change procedures if needed.

Antenna information:
This device is only intended to operate with external cellular antenna. The technical requirements are
described in this installation and operating instruction. Any antenna having different specification is not
authorized for use with this device.

Label requirement:
The host product shall apply the label inside the packaging to the host device and ensure below text is
shown.

Additional testing requirement, FCC part 15B, emission consideration:
This device has been approved by FCC in a standalone mobile condition. The host product is still applicable
to the relevant FCC requirements. Additional testing and evaluation are required. FCC part 15B compliance
only applies to this device operating together with a CIU 900. All host products equipped with this device
should be compliant with FCC part 15B. Contact Grundfos for further assistance.

The host product may need an FCC compliance evaluation or testing if this device has design change which
grants the FCC approval.
