Battery
The battery is located under
the seat cushion . Ma inte-
nance-free battery (Valve-reg-
ulated wet charged) is used, it
is strictly forbidden to pry open
the shell, and there is need to
refill before and during using.
Please read and observe the
following precautions before using:
• Check the battery terminal voltage when it is used
for the first time. When the voltage is less than
126V it needs to be charged: charging voltage
14.4±0.02V charging limit current 8A, charging
until the current drops to 0.2A (or refer to the rele-
vant parameters printed on the battery surface).
When the battery temperature is higher than 45°C
during the charging process, stop charging imme-
diately, and charge again after the temperature
drops.
• The red battery terminal is positive and black is
negative. Turn off the power when wiring, connect
the positive pole first and then the negative pole;
when disassembling, remove the negative pole
first and then the positive pole.
• Charging system detection: After the motorcycle
is started, the battery voltage between 13.5V and
15V indicates that the charging system is normal.
• Motorcycle leakage current detection: Turn off the
power supply; and connect the positive or nega-
tive pole in series with a multi-meter (current

MF
gear), If the current is less than 5mA, the motor-
YTX9-BS
SAE PP
PP
cycle circuit is normal.
• When the motorcycle is not in use for a long time,
it should be charged once a month, or the battery
should be removed and placed separately, and
the voltage should be checked every three
months. When the voltage is lower than 12.6V it
should be charged. The battery is not allowed to
be stored in a state of loss of power.
Remove the battery for inspection in the following
order:
• Turn off the motorcycle power (switch or key)
• Remove the seat cushion.
• Remove the mounting screws and battery press-
ing plate assy.
• Remove the negative terminal (-) first and then
the positive terminal (+).
• Take out the battery lightly.
