3. INSTALLATION - SEE FIG.D
3.1 LOCATION
DANGER: Poisoning
Do not run the motor-driven pump in a closed space:
garage, tunnel, etc.
Keep the exhaust pipe away from any foreign bodies.
When it is running, the motor-driven pump gives off
carbon monoxide - an extremely toxic, odourless
and invisible gas that can cause severe nausea,
fainting and can even be fatal.
Install the motor-driven pump on a flat surface
D.1. In the event of installation on a tilted surface,
the motor-driven pump might move once it starts
working and trigger the oil alarm.
DANGER: Risk of electrocution
Do not use the motor-driven pump in snow or rain
D.2. Do not handle it with damp or wet hands/feet.
Do not use it barefoot at the risk of electrocution.
Never point a pressure washer at the motor-driven
pump as this may result in an electric shock.
To ease access for maintenance tasks, leave a
safety distance between the motor-driven pump and
the wall... The minimum recommended distance is
1 metre D.3.
3.2 PROTECTION
Regulations designate motor-driven pumps as
mobile equipment and purely temporary in nature.
When fixed equipment is required for permanent or
temporary use, European Directives come into force.
