CARBURETTOR
The carburettor is pre-tuned by the manufacturer.
If tuning is required, contact an authorized service
centre.
8 SERVICING AND REPAIRS
Before carrying out any servicing work:
- Turn off the engine.
- Remove the ignition key.
- Disconnect the spark plug wire from
the spark plug.
8.1
EMPTYING THE FUEL TANK
Empty the fuel tank outdoors and only
when the engine is cool. DO NOT smo-
ke. Collect the petrol in a suitable con-
tainer.
1. Turn off the engine, remove the key and
disconnect the spark plug wire.
2. Position a container under the carburettor.
3. Use an anti-splash funnel for oil.
5. Slacken the drain screw (7:A) located on the
side of the float bowl and drain off all the fuel.
8.2
ADJUSTING THE TENSION OF THE
CLUTCH CABLES
To enable transmission of engine power to the
auger, the clutch control cable must be correctly
tensioned.
The cable must be securely fastened to the control
spring. See FIG. 3). Proceed as follows:
1. Turn off the engine, remove the key and
disconnect the spark plug wire.
2. Slide the safeguard (3:F) up the connection
cable to uncover the holed plate (3:G).
3. Insert the cable in the lowest hole possible on
the plate (3:G) without stretching the spring
(3:D).
4. Make sure that the spring has not be stretched.
5. Replace the plate cover safeguard.
9 STORAGE
NEVER put the snow thrower into sto-
rage with petrol still in the tank in an
ENGLISH
enclosed space with poor ventilation.
Petrol fumes may come into contact
with naked flames, sparks, cigarettes,
etc..
If you intend to put your snow thrower into storage
for more than 30 days, proceed as follows:
1. Empty the fuel tank
2. Turn on the engine and allow it to run until all the
petrol has been used up.
3. Change the engine oil if this operation has not
been done in the last three months.
4. Remove the spark plug and pour engine oil
(approx. 30 ml) into the hole. Turn the engine for
a couple of revs.
Replace and tighten the spark plug.
5. Clean the snow thrower thoroughly.
6. Check for any damage. If necessary, see to the
necessary repairs.
7. Touch up the paint work if necessary.
8. Protect any exposed metal surfaces from rust.
9. Store the snow thrower indoors if possible.
Authorized service centres carry out guaranteed
repairs and maintenance. They use original spare
parts only.
If carrying out repairs yourself:
Use original spare parts only. They are designed
to fit the machine perfectly and simplify the
operation.
Spare parts are available from authorized dealers
and service centres.
When ordering spare parts: specify the type,
model, year of manufacture and serial number of
your machine as indicated on the identification
dataplate (1:S) affixed to the machine.
11 TERMS OF PURCHASE
The warranty covers all material and
manufacturing defects. The user must follow
all the instructions provided in the attached
documentation carefully.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
• Failure to read and understand the
documentation accompanying the machine.
• Carelessness.
• Incorrect or prohibited use and installation.
• The use of non-original spares.
