Warning!
If maintenance work is performed
while the gun is still connected
to the compressed air circuit and
material supply, components can
unexpectedly work loose and
material can leak.
→ Empty the automatic gun be-
fore all kinds of maintenance
work and then disconnect it from
the compressed air circuit and
the material supply.
Attention!
Incorrect assembly can cause
damage to the automatic gun.
→ Fix the automatic gun on a flat
surface before all kinds of main-
tenance work.
→ Make sure that threads fit prop-
erly.
→ Grease all moving parts with
SATA high performance grease
(Art. No. 48173).
Loose screws can cause damage
to parts or result in malfunctions.
→ Tighten all screws by hand and
check that they are screwed tight.
Use of the wrong tool can damage
the automatic gun.
→ Only use the special tool supplied
by SATA.
Springs and small parts can fall out
during dismantling. The precise
installation position and installation
sequence is shown in the figures.

Failure to comply can cause dam-
age to the parts or result in mal-
functions.
Spare parts are available for carry-
ing out repairs (see chapter 13).
10.1. Replacing the nozzle
set
The nozzle set consists of a tested
combination of paint needle
air cap
and fluid tip
[7-5]
ways replace the complete nozzle
set.
Dismantle the nozzle set
■ Unscrew the regulating cap (of variant
with material flow control).
■ Unscrew the end cap (spanner size
27) [7-1] (spanner size 24 for variant
with material flow control).
■ Remove the spring [7-2].
■ Remove paint needle [7-3].
■ Unscrew air cap ring [7-6] by hand
and remove together with the air cap
[7-5].
■ Unscrew fluid tip [7-4] using the SATA
universal spanner.
Fit new nozzle set
Attention!
The components can be dam-
aged if fitted in the wrong order.
→ Always fit the fluid tip before
the paint needle.
Notice!
The SATAminijet has no tapered
dowel pin for aligning the air cap.
