11. Care and storage
Careful handling together with con-
stant maintenance and care of the
product is necessary to warrant the
functioning of the automatic gun.
Every time after use, always clean
the automatic gun, check its func-
tion and check for leaks.
After cleaning, dry the complete au-
tomatic gun with clean compressed
air.
Warning!
If cleaning work is performed
while the gun is still connected
to the compressed air circuit and
material supply, components can
unexpectedly work loose and
material can leak.
→ Disconnect the automatic gun
from the compressed air circuit
and the material supply before all
kinds of cleaning work.

The use of aggressive cleaning
agents can damage the automat-
ic gun.
→ Do not use aggressive cleaning
agents.
Only use suitable cleaning solu-
tions for cleaning.
→ Use a neutral cleaning solution
with a pH of 6–8.
→ Do not use acids, caustic
solutions, bases, paint strippers,
unsuitable regenerates or other
aggressive cleaning agents.
There is a risk of corrosion if the
automatic gun is submerged in
the cleaning solution.
→ Do not submerge the automatic
gun in cleaning solution.
Incorrect cleaning tools can
damage the holes and impair the
spray fan pattern.
→ Only use the SATA cleaning
brushes.
→ Never use ultrasonic cleaners.
12. Malfunctions
The following table describes mal-
functions together with their causes
and corrective action.
If it is not possible to remedy a
malfunction with the described cor-
rective action, send the automatic
gun to the SATA customer service
