MMA PROCESS
DB
DC
SECTOR DB.
As seen in the figure, the display is divided into sectors.
In each sector, settings operations may be conducted.
The main sector DB is the one with a red frame. The cur-
rent is regulated using knob I or AN.
The welding process always appears at the top left
between sectors DB and DN.
The screen displays the welding current in Amperes (A),
and the welding voltage in Volts (V).
SECTOR DC. Choosing the welding process.
Touch to select the MMA process.
SECTOR DE. HOT START.
HOT-START CURRENT adjustable from 0 to 100% of
the welding current. This is the overvoltage supplied
when the arc is ignited.
This function helps strike the electric arc.
HOT START TIME. This is the overvoltage time supplied
when the arc is struck.
Adjustable from 0 to 1 sec.
These functions can be regulated in the "Parameters"
submenu.
SECTOR DF. ARC FORCE.
This regulates the dynamic characteristics of the arc.
This is adjustable from 0 to 100% of the set welding cur-
rent.
SECTOR DI. SUBMENU.
PROCESS.
Touch to select the sector, see fig. 142.
ACCESSORIES.

PARAMETERS.
Select and confirm the chosen parameter from the fol-
lowing:
DN
Set Point current (main current see fig. 143-144).
DA
Hot Start Current(see fig. 145-146).
Hot Start Time(see fig. 147-148).
Arc Force (see fig. 149-150).
Antistick(see fig. 151-152).
DL
CUT OFF voltage Adjustable from 20 to 70V (see fig.
153-154).

6 MIG/MAG WELDING
Connect the earth cable to socket L (-).
Connect the floating connector of the power source-wire
feeder connection to rear socket N.
Connect connector of power source-wire feeder service
connection to rear connector M.
Connect the power source-wire feeder connection floa-
ting connector to the rear socket of wire feeder Z.
Connect the power source-wire feeder connection servi-
ce connector to the rear connector of wire feeder Y.
Connect the gas pipe emerging from the power source-
wire feeder connection to the rear fitting of wire feeder W.
In the Main Menu, after selecting process, choose wel-
ding type MIG: Mig Pulse, Pulse HD, Short, Short HD,
Root and Manual.
For pulsed MIG welding, see fig. fig.104, select the wire
type, diameter and gas; selections must be made in the
Main Menu, using process and material keys.
Welding parameters are synergically set by means of the
knob.
In this welding process the filler material is transferred
via a controlled energy pulsed waveform to achieve con-
stant detachment of molten material droplets that are
transferred to the workpiece without splatters. The result
is a molten material weld bead that is transferred to the
workpiece without splatters. The resulting weld bead at-
taches effectively to any material type or thickness.
All types of usable wires, diameters and gases are
also shown on a plate inside the mobile side panel.
Mig Pulse HD see fig.105.
Select this process to weld at a faster wire feed rate than
with the pulsed process. More wire is deposited for the
same current setting. This process cannot be activated
for all stored synergic curves.
