A set of criteria come into play to determine which TRIBORD regulator will best suit you.
The advantage of a piston first stage is generally due to its reliability and reduced maintenance
requirements, due to an effective, yet simple, mechanism with less moving parts. In addition, no
other technology can match the high air flow of a balanced piston first stage.
Subea 100 Regulator: A "club" TRIBORD regulator like the Subea 100 stands out due to its
reliability, robustness and easy maintenance as well as its breathing comfort.
Indeed, this type of TRIBORD regulator is not balanced resulting in greater breathing effort,
depending on your depth.
Subea 500 Regulator The advantage of the TRIBORD Subea balanced first stage is a real
increase in breathing comfort compared to "club" regulators, which is appreciable during deeper
dives.
Frst stage balanced pistons deliver significantly more air at the second stage than any other kind
of first stage, and their performance is not affected by changes in pressure in the tank.
A balanced piston allows more sensitive adjustments, favouring a faster response time to
inhalation with instant air flow, regardless of the pressure in the tank.
In this way, a tired diver has a more "flexible" regulator when coming up or at decompression stops.
Balanced first stage pistons are preferred by demanding sport divers and professionals, and a
second stage regulator must translate natural breathing behaviour into a mechanical reality. A
high-quality second stage can reduce stress significantly, contributing to improved diver safety by
providing air more easily and in sufficient quantity, without requiring superfluous effort.

Anatomical mouthpiece: TRIBORD has developed, in partnership with orthodontists, an
