In the case of a connection with a bracket, place the nut against the valve head with the O-ring
and tighten the handle manually, without forcing it.
In the case of a DIN connection, screw the male threaded portion with an O-ring from the first
stage onto the tank and tighten.
Î Perform a leakage test using the vacuum method, with the tank's valve closed. Slowly inhale
from the second stage; you must be able to obtain and maintain a vacuum without making air
enter into the system.
Î Slowly open the tank's valve to avoid a violent flow of air through the regulator. It is also
recommended that you release a small amount of air by pressing the second stage purge
button. This reduces the impact on the internal valve.
Î Press the second stage purge button two or three times to expel any possible dust or foreign
bodies.
Î When opening the tank, the front side of the pressure gauge should be pointed downward.
Due to its extreme sensitivity, when the regulator is not kept in the mouth when entering the water,
it is advisable to fully immerse it to prevent an air leak.
To facilitate this immersion action, be sure to lightly shake the second stage underwater with a
bottom to top rotation.
DANGER: The tank's valve must be completely open before diving.
DANGER: Never connect a low pressure hose to a high pressure outlet. The threads
of these connectors are different and not compatible. Do not use an adapter to connect
low pressure devices to high pressure outlets. This may cause serious damage to the
user and the equipment.
WARNING: Do not turn the first stage connected to the tank when the system is under
pressure.
WARNING: Do not use the first stage assembly as a tank carrying handle.
DANGER: TRIBORD regulators are designed for use exclusively with compressed air
that complies with standard EN 12021. Do not use this device with any other gas. Failure
to comply with this warning can lead to premature wear, malfunction or a risk of explosion
and, therefore, cause significant property damage and death.
5 - MAINTENANCE
The TRIBORD regulator is made of high quality materials that have been tested in sea water and
in pools. However, this does not exclude regular, careful maintenance to preserve
the equipment from the corrosive actions of a saline environment.
5.1 Maintenance after each dive
Î Close the tank's valve and release any air remaining inside the equipment by pressing on the
second stage purge button.
