1.3 Target group

The PSU01 may only be installed, commissioned, tested, maintained and used by qualified personnel.
Qualified personnel refers to someone
• who has a suitable technical training and
• has been instructed on how to operate the unit by the machine operator and
• has been instructed on the applicable safety guidelines and
• has access to these operating instructions.

1.4 Safety guidelines

Please read the operating instructions before commissioning the device. Installation notices must be
observed. Only commission the device if you have read and understood the operating instructions.
The selection of the devices and their integration into the control system require the qualified knowled-
ge of the relevant laws and normative requirements on part of the machine manufacturer.
The safety and warning instructions are an important part of the operating instructions and must be
followed.

1.5 Installation and operating personnel

The operator is obligated to take suitable safety-related measures. Only personnel who have knowled-
ge of the basic regulations for accident prevention and occupational safety and health and have
read and understood the safety information in these instructions may be deployed for installation and
commissioning.

1.6 Warranty and liability

The entitlement to warranty and liability is void if the Ants LES01 (Sensor Safe) is not used in the
intended manner, if any damage can be traced back to a failure to observe the operating instructions,
or if the installation and operating personnel are not properly qualified or trained.
Failure to observe these instructions voids all entitlement to warranty or guarantee as well as any
possible liability claims. All regulations concerning accident prevention which are applicable to the lift
must be observed. In order to prevent damage due to improper handling of electrical voltages and
currents, all relevant (including local) regulations must be observed, particularly in respect of protective
measures and proper earthing.
