8. Checking the functions

8.1 Limit switch function

To check the functional ability of the limit switch emulation, carry out a limit switch travel with the con-
trol connected. To this purpose, consult the operating manual of the concerned control and proceed as
specified in the manual.

8.2 Inspection limit switch function

To check the functional ability of the inspection limit switch emulation, carry out an inspection limit
switch travel with the control connected. To this purpose, consult the operating manual of the concer-
ned control and proceed as specified in the manual.

8.3 Time-delayed limit switch function

To check the functional ability of the time-delayed limit switch function, carry out a time-delayed limit
switch travel with the control connected. To this purpose, consult the operating manual of the concer-
ned control and proceed as specified in the manual.

8.4 UCM function

To check the UCM function, carry out a UCM travel with the control connected. To this purpose, the
control must leave the door zone with the doors bypassed. To this purpose, consult the operating
manual of the concerned control and proceed as specified in the manual.

8.5 Door zone emulation function

While traveling at a speed slower than 0.8 m/s check whether the door zones switch.
To check the door zone emulation functions for an external UCM Evaluation Unit, proceed according
to the instructions of the control and of the UCM Evaluation Unit. To this purpose, consult the operating
manual of the concerned device that provides these functions and proceed as specified there.

8.6 Overspeed (optional)

To check the overspeed (provided the rated speed has been set in the PSU01), carry out an over-
speed travel with the control connected. To this purpose, consult the operating manual of the concer-
ned control and proceed as specified in the manual.
As soon as the speed of the elevator car exceeds the memorized normal speed by +15 %, PSU01
opens the safety circuit and the elevator stops.
