Secondary air
This is the amount of air flowing
between the turbulator diameter and
end-piece. Turbulator position
(dimension Y) is read on the template 0
to 40 mm scale. Maximum secondary
air is set at 40 and minimum at 0.
On delivery, dimension Y is set at 25 mm.
However, this value can be adjusted
according to the following :
firing quality (shock, vibration,
–
judder, time lag),
combustion quality,
–
this value can be changed.
Setting
This is performed without removing
burner, whether stopped or in
operation, according to enclosed
Dimension
values.
Y (mm)
By reducing secondary air (dimension Y),
CO
increases and vice versa.

Checking and setting combustion
components
Burner is supplied already set for
natural gas.
· Withdraw the cell and place it
temporarily on the electrical plate
(fragile).
· Unscrew the three screws on the
cover and remove it.
· Take hold of the combustion
components (stored on standby).
· Remove the extension part of the
setting screw for the diffusors, which
is attached to the ignition cables.
· Check settings of the following:
ignition electrodes and diffusers
according to available gas and
diagrams opposite.
· Adjust and place nozzle according to
boiler capacity.
Important
When the gas train is installed on the
left or the volute is high up, the nozzle
line needs to be turned 180°.
To do so :
· Remove the baffle, and screw A and
turn the nozzle line around 180°.
· Re-assemble by performing each
stage of the disassembly process in
reverse.
· When re-assembling, check for the
presence and the correct positioning
of the O-ring type sealing ring J1 on
the gas supply line.
· Re-assemble.
· Check :
–
that the screw and the nut C are
securely tightened,
–
subsequently for leaks.
· Assemble the extension part of the
diffusor setting screw.
· Pass the ignition cables through the
cover.
· Set up the wireway on the cover.
· Fix the cover in place.
· Tauten the cables.
· Connect the two ignition cables on
the transformer.
· Position the cell in its seating.
· Connect and block the two tubes
between the pump and the nozzle
lines.
· Check subsequently for leaks.
